CONICAL LEGS FOR ALL FURNITURE
Available from 15 cm to 110 cm, it will be suitable for most of your projects: coffee table, stool, bench, dining table, console, high table, low cabinet ...
Under an old wooden tray or even a noble stone tray, the conical feet also called compass feet are a must in the decoration of the 50s and 60s. In the 1970s, they were found under formica furniture. It was then very often declined in wood. It is difficult today to find conical steel legs and yet steel allows it to regain all its finesse, elegance and design.
The conical shape inspired the greatest designers like Jean Prouvé and the conical legs conquered the majority of the interiors of the second part of the previous century. This dual use, which speaks to us a lot, we who want to make the beautiful accessible to all, has definitely convinced us on the desire to bring them out of our workshop..
VARIETIES
The conical legs are available from 15 cm to 110 cm. They allow you to raise furniture (15cm), to create low tables (30cm and 40cm), to create high tables (110cm) or high tables (90cm), to enhance a buffet (15cm or 30cm) or even to design a dining table or desk (71cm).
Compass feet are available in our 4 historic colors: White, Black, Copper and Gold. Each foot is protected by a reinforced polyethylene (PE) end cap. It is black if you choose a black, copper or gold foot and will be white if you choose a white foot.
A MULTI-PURPOSE STYLE
Industrial feet are very trendy but conical feet pass the years and are definitely a timeless accessory, which can adapt to every interior and every use indefinitely. At the heart of a bistronomic restaurant, it can bring a retro side but also chic. In a coworking space, it brings transparency, design and a lot of lightness. In a personal decoration and associated with an old mottled wood top, it brings the retro piece that everyone dreams of! And finally, don't forget, it has a vintage feel that very few bases have!
ADVICE
For a retro, vintage, minimalist or even Scandinavian look, the conical foot will be perfect to support all types of furniture. Do not hesitate to add compass feet to several pieces of furniture in the same room. With its fine lines, it will not weigh down your decor but will on the contrary make it more coherent. It will just be a matter of changing the color of some feet.
TECHNICAL
Thanks to the steel, our conical feet are very strong and resistant. Each foot is equipped with a 3mm thick plate made up of 4 fixing holes.
To ensure perfect stability of the whole, adapt the attachment system (hinge screw, screw + bolt, lag screw, etc.) to each support. This is the best way to have a strong and stable set.
The position of the compass feet relative to the plate is your choice. If you want the feet to be visible, for it to be a strong element of your decoration, do not hesitate to bring the feet between 5 and 10 cm from the corner of the top. Thus they will give a strong identity to your creation. If you want them more discreet in your project and less annoying (especially to avoid bumping into them), you can attach them up to 8 inches from the corner.
TRAYS
The conical feet can be adapted to all types of tops. To ensure perfect stability, we do not recommend using them on trays larger than 100cmx180cm.
You can use different types of boards, whether new, reclaimed or old :
-
• old obsolete trays
-
• a light wooden tray
-
• a freshly cut tree board
-
• a tray recovered from a broken stool
-
• a formica tray !
Marble, glass, stone, (…) are materials that you increasingly want to use with our feet. There is no "miracle" attachment for this type of media. Some glues suitable for marble and stones are very efficient. However, we encourage you to contact a craftsman or us directly for sound advice depending on the type of materials chosen..
BEAUTIFUL BAZAR
The conical feet are part of the new collection of La Fabrique des pieds accompanied by of the footboards , entitled BEAU BAZAR. Because yes, a piece of furniture with a mess does not have the same soul as a piece of furniture without a mess, where every object has its place. Dare the mess in your interiors, dare to photograph your interiors with a cushion on the floor, a newly abandoned child's toy, dried flowers from your ancestors, a breakfast abruptly interrupted ... Your only requirement is to bring objects that make sense (a personal story or not), to create furniture that has style and that is more than furniture.
