How to make a large, pretty, economical, practical and easy coffee table! With OSB! Very trendy, OSB is made of glued softwood slats glued and then pressed. TUTORIAL
STEP 0
Wood is a material that expands or contracts depending on the humidity and heat of an interior. Before tinkering, store the boards in your interior so that they adapt and do not warp over time.
STEP 1
Cut your OSB boards to get 4 of the following dimensions :
- 2 OSB boards of 1m by 1m
- 3 OSB boards of 10cm by 1m
STEP 2
Position one of the 2 large planks on the ground. Take one of the 2 boards of 10cm by 1m and apply glue to the edge lengthwise.
STEP 3
Using the square, position your small board at the edge of the large board. Make sure you have a 90 ° angle. Support the small board using an object or a book to ensure a 90 ° angle during the drying time.
STEP 4
Repeat this step with the other 2 small boards.
- The first must be positioned parallel to the first, i.e. on the opposite edge.
- The second plank, it will find its place in the center and parallel to the first 2 to ensure maintenance of the structure over time.
Secure the assembly and leave the time indicated.
STEP 5
Using the glue gun, apply glue to the 3 small slices lengthwise. Then position the remaining large plank making sure that the small outer planks are edge to edge with the large plank..
STEP 6
Position objects with weight on the large board and where there are spots of glue then let dry.
STEP 7
Position the structure on your back, now is the time to fix your feet.
Position the 4 reinforced 30 cm pin feet on each corner 2 cm from the edge.
STEP 8
Screw the 4 feet using paint screw and a screwdriver.
Tips : You can protect the table with oil, varnish or sealer.
