MAKE A BENCH WITH WAGON BOARDS22 December 2021
@Zessfr alias Jessica is a fan of DIY decoration but not only, also hooks and sewing. Her interior is filled with plants and for her to thrive, she imagined a bench in front of her bay window to let them sunbathe! We explain how to make this bench in a few steps.
- 4 wagon boards of 1m20
- 8 Wood screws
- 2 Custom-made thin black flat iron 35 cm high and 23 cm wide
- 10 hinge screw
The wagon planks have the particularity of being weathered by time. We are therefore not going to cut them so as not to remove their raw appearance and the roughness that makes their charm. So choose your boards carefully.
For this DIY, we want 4, because we are going to superimpose 2 layers of boards.
Start by constituting your seat by superimposing the boards and taking care to put those with the prettiest finishes on top.
Secure the boards together with 8 wood screws. Here, they are not all the same width which does not require a crossbar on the underside to maintain them in the width and on the height..
Turn the assembly over and position the 85 / 5 000 Résultats de traduction custom-made thin flat iron feet to define their placement. Here at 20 cm from the edge .
Screw the feet using the hinge screws and a screwdriver
A unique bench, adapted in size, is added to your furniture! We suggest that you continue with adining table crafted from plank and a dark varnish finish for added character.
