Do you know the brand A Demain ? It is a French company, born not far from Armentières, in the workshops of the Vanderschooten family. It has been around for over 70 years now.
This year, the brand embarked on a collection highlighting its roots. Hello Tangerine, the blogger supported them in all of this creation . The idea is to recall the little Proust madeleines that we all knew when we grew up in this beautiful north: the wings of the mills, the red brick houses or the hop wreaths hanging from the beams of the taverns.
Thus were created bed sets with an iconic motif of northern culture and other plain ones that recall the colors of our beautiful landscapes. Everything is made in their Nieppe workshop: from dyeing to the design imagined and printed in France. Their workshop is located in the middle of the fields, just like ours.
It was obvious for us to imagine and work around a common project.
Why did you start with the Nord collection ?
It was only natural that we opened our journey to the North, where it all began! It is in this beautiful region that A Demain was born, not far from Armentières, in the clothing workshops of 50 people from the Vanderschooten family, whose know-how has been recognized for more than 70 years.
Our models are inspired by French territory , its imagination and its culture. With the Nord collection, it is our stories and memories that we wanted to share. We met Charlotte, creator of the Bonjour Tangerine blog, creative northerner, inspiring and attached to her region. She was kind enough to share with us her link with the North and her emotional relationship with this territory..
How do you manage to modernize the bed linen ?
A Demain traces the roads of France with happiness and sincerity to offer products certified Origine France Garantie. A label which ensures the traceability of the product and its indication of origin. All of the manufacturing steps for our household linen are carried out entirely in France, within a radius of less than 700km, for the lowest carbon footprint. Our promise "from our workshop to your room" guarantees the elimination of intermediaries for a fair price..
A Demain products are designed to sensitively transcribe our French territory. The particularity of a place, the emotion of a discovery, vacation or childhood memories. Over the months, we share our French journey through new products in the form of capsules and in limited series. We put the consumer at the center by giving them the power to choose the next destinations for future collections.
Our capsules are co-imagined around the sensitive universe of a place with inspiring local personalities such as: artisans, artists, photographers, architects, young brands and influencers. Our collaboration with Charlotte from the Bonjour Tangerine blog has given life to a series of flaxseed hot water bottles (locally grown) and made with our fabric scraps A Demain for example..
A Demain it is above all a sensory, authentic brand, close to nature . Touch and material are more than important elements for a unique experience. We offer 80 threads / cm2 satin and cotton percale sets.
Contrary to popular belief, cotton satin is not a material but a weaving from 100% combed long staple cotton which ensures a better quality canvas. It offers velvety and optimal comfort thanks to its light natural wrinkling and its great flexibility. It is therefore very smooth, fluffy and warmer than a classic bed set.
Why did you choose La Fabrique ?
We fell in love with La Fabrique des Pieds. You are true enthusiasts with incredible know-how and only a few kilometers separate our two workshops, in the middle of the fields in the North of France! We share common values such as sensitivity to slow deco, a trend that aims to consume less, better and therefore more responsible..
At A Demain, we like to discover and collaborate with different product universes. Textile and steel, a beautiful encounter and a beautiful mix of materials !
French manufacture was obvious?
Completely French manufacturing is the raison d'être of A Demain! The A Demain adventure was born from the desire to keep this beautiful story alive in our workshop and to build tomorrow by investing in people, transmission of know-how and the development of a virtuous ecosystem. Thanks to this workshop located in the heart of a historic textile territory, our desire is to preserve the know-how and jobs so precious for the future of our French industry.
What part does digital play in the era of better consumption for A Demain ?
A Demain is only distributed on our site and in ephemeral points of sale to be direct from the consumer. Digital is therefore at the heart of our approach, to offer the best products at the right price, designed to last and be transmitted..
The philosophy of A Demain is: consume differently by consuming better , more responsible. We apply a zero waste policy by removing plastic from our packaging and using craft paper. We deliver from our workshop to the consumer's room to limit the carbon footprint and reuse all our bed linen scraps to make accessories.
