Fan of recovery? Create your coffee table by giving a second life to a palette by following our DIY. Easy and economical, it will undoubtedly give character to your interior !
EQUIPMENT
- 4 pin feet 15 cm
- 2 palettes
- Varnish
- Pumice paper
- Plywood sheet
- 20 nails for the board
- 12 hinge screws 20 mm
- Hammer
- Nippers
- Screwdriver
DIY PROCESS
STEP 1 :
Let's take care of the pallets first! First on the first pallet, thanks to the pincers, we will remove the boards to be able to fill the holes on the second.
STEP 2 :
Sand the second pallet and the boards removed You can also use the old board with different colors to create a patchwork of wood. They will then have to be cut to fit the holes in the second pallet.
STEP 3 :
Position the boards in the holes of the pallet to fill them.
STEP 4 :
Once you are satisfied with the result, come and nail them using the nails and hammer.
STEP 5 :
Turn the entire pallet over and place it the feet then screw them thanks the hinge screws and the screwdriver.
STEP 6 :
Varnish the set to protect your future coffee table from all everyday mishaps.
THE RESULT
VARIANTS WITH OPTIONS
You can also make variations like with the options offered below :
OPTION 1 :
Choose roller feet to move it easily.
OPTION 2 :
On the underside of the pallet, you can plug the holes or add a plywood board to be able to slide things into the pallet.
OPTION 3 :
You can replace the pieces of wood that fill the holes with a glass tray.
OPTION 4 :
It's up to you to play with the sizes of the pallets and the sizes of the legs to create the ideal coffee table.
So here you are with a unique coffee table created according to your desires and needs which will fit into your interior as well as your exterior! There is only to choose the feet that you like the most.
All our feet can go outdoors because they are powder coated and therefore resistant to all weather conditions.
