MARBRIER RHYMES WITH...
La Marbrerie Daubinet-Litteri is a whole story, a story as we love them at La Fabrique: crush, authenticity, craftsmanship, quality, and of course simplicity. Behind La Marbrerie hides Sandrine and Julien, a couple passionate about geology and minerals, a couple who embarked on marble work 5 years ago in the Marseille region, after having traveled and lived abroad and on Montpellier. We feel a great complementarity and complicity between the two: Julien devotes himself more to the technical part of the creations, Sandrine is on customer relations, communication and also on the selection of materials.
MARBRIER RHYMES WITH DEMOCRATIZE
The first thing we notice when we talk to Julien and Sandrine is the expertise and knowledge they have on these mineral materials: marble, stone, quartzite, granite ... A real geology course where passion is at the heart of everything. 5 years ago, Sandrine's uncle, who had a decorative marble shop, wanted to pass on her activity. Driven by craftsmanship, we can even say, defending craftsmanship is a strong value of our 2 protagonists and this is how Julien and Sandrine took up, somewhat, by chance, marble work, with a strong idea in mind : "Democratize access to fine mineral materials". A few months ago, they also took over another local structure, which had a certain know-how in the field since 1961. (equipped with digital machines and able to push back the techniques of stone thanks to the technology and a transmitted experience. from generation to generation)
MARBRIER RHYME WITH TRADE
La Marbrerie offers kitchen worktops, stairs, sinks and bathrooms. These achievements are made from materials such as marble and stone. Coming from limestone, they are very sensitive to acidity (like lemon, vinegar, wine, soda ...), which is why Julien treats stone and marble by roughening it, the result is soft and mat.
Granite and quartzites are also favorite materials of the Marbrerie. Granite is perfect for kitchen worktops because being a volcanic material (therefore not limestone!), It does not risk heat, scratches and acidity.
Julien works with Burgundy stone; As for granite, it is of course found in the Côtes d´Armor but it is more difficult to use in terms of decoration. Black granite, highly demanded and appreciated, comes mainly from Brazil, India and Africa (a little lesson on the global granite business !)
MARBRIER RHYMES WITH EXPORTER
Based in the Marseille region, the creations of Julien and Sandrine often arrive in local houses but not only. Thanks to digital and social networks, the Marbrerie is known in Europe, as in Switzerland, in Luxembourg where realizations are shipped and installed.
MARBRIER RHYME WITH FEET
La Marbrerie created marble tables and needed feet (beefy and beautiful!). In Marseille, Sandrine works a lot with Sophie Ferjani who has a La Sélection by SF decoration store. La Fabrique et Sophie is also a great story. And it was through word of mouth that Sandrine, at a Maison & Objet trade fair, was able to meet Team La Fabrique.
The industrial-style Crossed Feet are perfect for marble tops. Black, gold, white, copper also go very well with the different colors that marble can take. The alliance is perfect.
What about weight? We are more than good, for example with tables of 60 cm in diameter, we are at 20Kg per foot! so perfect.
Fix the feet? Julien's expertise comes into play: He drills 13/14 mm through the marble and freezes an incere in the hole and then finds the same assembly as if it were a wooden board. So we don't stick, it's much cleaner and more professional and above all we then do what we want with the set.
WHAT IF WE HAD TO ASSOCIATE WORDS FROM LA FABRIQUE DES PIEDS ?
Diversity and Originality of the models, Modernity and Quality of the Feet, they are well finished. And then we find this sense of advice and the speed of the Fabrique team with these common values: simplicity, authenticity and making beauty accessible to all.
Marble maker therefore also rhymes with Fabrique des Pieds !
PS: our feet are suitable for marble, you just need to glue the feet with special marble glue.
