WHAT TO DO WITH THE INFINITE FLAT IRON FOOT?

It's been over a year since the infinite flat iron foot model joined our collection. When it was released, we told you about the backstage of the release of the infinite flat iron foot. It is very popular thanks to its made-to-measure configuration: with just one foot, a thousand possibilities exist: from what to make a small coffee table with or without an intermediate rail, to large wardrobes by playing with the modeling of the rails.

This foot is not suitable for making a dining table unlike the 71 cm flat iron leg or the custom-made flat iron foot. The slim flat iron foot is made from a thinner profile which is not suitable for a freelance project with large dimensions.

Disclaimer

When configuring the infinite flat iron foot, consider that the height and depth correspond to the external dimensions of the structure. The width of the board, which is on top of the structure, should be equal to the outer depth of the foot.

For the interior depth to be entered, the dimensions must correspond to the internal dimensions, so plan to remove 1.5 cm from the depth.

From a height of 90 cm, an attachment point (a hole with a diameter of 7mm) is provided in the structure to secure the foot to the wall to prevent tipping.

Low table

The infinite flat iron model allows you to imagine coffee tables of very different shapes and configurations: create a square or rectangular table, with 1 or 2 floors or with beams.

The addition of an intermediate crosspiece, gives the possibility of creating a coffee table on two floors with the storage insert where you can slide magazines, books, decoration or even the remote control so as not to clutter the top shelf.

Thanks to an intermediate cross member, it is possible to slide, between the lower cross member and the upper cross member, an old very thick beam or a pallet closed by the addition of planks. With this additional level, the fixing is done from below for a perfect aesthetic finish; during configuration, you have the option of not adding holes on the upper part of the foot. So all you have to do is slide the planks.

The positioning of the foot is free, the only advice to respect is not to place them more than 20 centimeters from the edge on each side to avoid tipping during use. Then it's up to you to choose the desired final aesthetic: the legs can follow the edge of the tabletop or be positioned further inside. The stability will be the same regardless of the position.

TV stand

A double-decker TV stand is practical for placing boxes and game consoles out of sight, adding a sound bar or storage boxes. Depending on the space provided between the intermediate floors, the addition of a basket gives the possibility of hiding all these elements which do not integrate with the decoration of the room, it also hides the wires.

The composition of a multi-storey TV cabinet gives it a very airy aesthetic which remains very robust to support the weight of the television. Depending on the color chosen for the infinite flat iron foot , it will have an industrial, Scandinavian or minimalist look.

Some tips to make your TV stand ergonomic:

• The standard height of a TV cabinet is 40 cm, the tailor-made allows you to go beyond the standards according to your project.
• In relation to the plate chosen and its composition, we recommend that you distance two feet of maximum 1m50 to 2m.
• We advise you to position the last crosspiece 15 centimeters from the ground to simplify cleaning.

Office

The infinite flat iron model is suitable for making a desk, under certain conditions:

• This should be a side table with little width
• Attached to a wall and not independent, ie positioned in the middle of the room
• Ideally maintained over part of its width, with a storage unit for example

Like dining tables, it can become shaky if these tips are not followed.

Furniture

What if, in the end, a piece of furniture did not have just one need! A piece of furniture can be hybrid, have several uses, several compartments to meet several needs:

More simply, with the infinite flat iron model at you can imagine a perfect shelf to suit a bedroom or a living room. You choose the height, depth and positioning of the foot for a 100% tailor-made piece of furniture that adapts to your needs and not the other way around.

For a small shelf, the ideal is to start on 3 to 4 floors maximum, anticipating the differences according to its usefulness. For the creation of a console, there are standard dimensions, namely a height of 71cm or 90cm, but this piece of furniture must be adapted according to the available space, especially in terms of length and depth.

This piece of furniture does not need to be very robust because it is essentially aesthetic, so there is a lot more freedom in its choice of design, in the positioning of the legs and the top:

• The feet can be positioned more than 30 cm from the edge
• The console can be up to 2 m in length
• Choose whether or not to add fixing holes on the upper part of the foot in order to simply slide a beam between the 2 crossbars for aesthetic reasons
• Add an intermediate floor to decorate and give volume to this piece of furniture.

Large shelf

When we tell you that this foot is hybrid, it really is! The infinite flat iron foot is also used to make large structures to add a large bookcase in the living room or create a custom-made dressing room in a bedroom. One can imagine within this large shelf, the addition of a niche for a TV cabinet, an office area, a dressing table, etc.

To have fun with this large shelf, it is nice to take 3 feet while playing with different heights of rails. This allows you to create niches on one part of the shelf and add more storage in another part of the shelf. In addition to having fun with the height, you can also play with the depth of the planks, which means positioning planks that are half the width of the available width to play on the internal volumes of the shelf and create movement.
