The INCLINED foot are among the most classic legs in the collection. Not that boring! In large DIY stores, the profile used, i.e. the steel bar, is fairly standard. It is often used to make a right foot. Our team imagined it on the bias for a more worked and graphic side under a tray. In a very classic style with great robustness, it is finally suitable for several pieces of furniture: dining table, desk.
The fact that it is an individual foot, like the square foot, the conical foot conique or the reinforced hairpin leg , means thatit takes 2 to 4 feet depending on the project. This differs in the design of the furniture itself:
- If a part is fixed to the wall or to an island: 2 are enough
- For a round tray, depending on its diameter: 3 are enough
The particularity of this leg compared to other individual legs lies in its location under the top. It does not only have a positioning, it is possible to have fun for a final rendering different from other projects when fixing.
Its main constraint is also its main asset. It is made from an 80x40mm profile and its mounting plate measures 135x115mm. It therefore takes up a certain amount of space under the top when fixing to ensure good stability. This also means that this model cannot be used for trays less than 23 cm or 27 cm depending on its positioning. This is important information to take into account when considering a project. !
The inclined feet offered at La Fabrique des Pieds are as follows :
FEET POSITIONS
The inclined foot is THE ONLY foot that can be positioned in such a variety of ways under a single top. Thanks to its individuality and its standard shape, different possibilities are offered when fixing it. In all configurations, be careful that once installed, the tip of the foot does not protrude, compared to the dimensions of the plateau at the risk of literally tripping your feet against it and falling.
Let's list together all the possible configurations :
- Positioned at an angle and aligned with the corners of the top. The foot does not align with the length or the width. It is not a question of interior or edge-to-edge positioning but rather of exact perpendicular dimensions in order to create a square. Positioning widely used for a round top.
- Parallel to the length: here the tip is therefore aligned with the width of the board. To lose a minimum of space, the plate comes almost to marry its edge in its length. Thus top and foot create a kind of line in the room.

- Parallel to the width: the opposite of the previous choice, the tip is aligned with the length of the top. This configuration gives a different graphic effect and suggests that the 2 legs are now one under certain tops.
- The 2 feet, facing each other, positioned so that the tip of the foot is aligned with the edge of the top and therefore very far apart. This leaves a large space to the foot in front. This configuration is specific to the tray with a large width.
- The 2 legs are glued at the level of the plate to look like a trestle type leg and give the illusion of a single leg. This can be done naturally for a fairly narrow top in terms of width.

- Edge to edge : whatever the choice made in the last 4 configurations, the choice in the other direction must be made, i.e. to position them edge to edge or + inside.
- Positioned inside the tray: this will mainly depend on the number of guests around the table and the maximum width. We recommend positioning the legs up to a maximum of 30 cm indoors to add a guest at the end of the table.
THE INCLINED FOOT FOR WHICH FURNITURE
So far, you have understood, the inclined foot has few restrictions. It is suitable for medium to very large trays, square, round and rectangular trays. In addition, its positioning is free regardless of the previous details. So for which furniture should you choose this leg?
THE INCLINED FOOT 71 CM
This model can be used to create a kitchen table, a large dining table for 10 people, a freestanding desk or attached to a wall or even a central round table.
For this last creation of furniture and depending on the diameter of the top, 3 legs may be enough, for example, with a top of 80 cm in diameter.

THE INCLINED FOOT 40 CM
LThe main utility ofinclined foot 40 cm, it's on coffee tables. Imagine a large rectangular or square coffee table with 4 legs, a small round coffee table 70 cm in diameter with 3 legs or nesting coffee tables with 3 or 4 legs, depending on your tastes.
This model can also be used to create a bench. Be careful, however, to think about the positioning of the foot upstream and the fact that the width of the board is sufficient to accommodate each plate without overflowing.
EVERY DETAIL MATTERS
The foot design does a lot, but the color does even more. Depending on the color chosen, the slanted foot slips into a wide variety of styles. So we dare! If this one ends up getting bored, a hit of the bomb and you're done.
